Requirements

  • An NQF level 7 qualification recognized by SAQA in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, or Internal Audit.
  • A Nyukela certificate is required for all Senior Management Service (SMS) positions before appointment (Certificate of entry into Senior Management Service from the National School of Government).
  • 5 years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a financial management environment.
  • Knowledge of budget management and financial management principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service, including the Financial Management and regulatory framework/guidelines, the Public Service Act, the Public Service Regulations, Treasury Regulations, Departmental Financial Instructions, and the Public Finance Management Act.
