About the Role

The Controller will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be based at our Cleveland Branch. The main responsibilities include:

• Managing the flow of schedules and issuing confidential information.
• Tracking the fleet and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensuring all vehicles and crews are compliant with safety and communication protocols.
• Coordinating with clients and other branches to resolve issues and maintain service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain GPS, radio, and telephone communication with vehicle crews.
• Ensure crews use correct communication codes and emergency procedures.
• Record a precise daily log of all vehicles, including GPS spot notes and service details.
• Confirm “no service” requirements with clients and update them on progress.
• Brief new road crews on schedules and safety protocols.
• Keep emergency telephone numbers and maps readily available.
• Complete client complaint registers and submit to the Manager.
• Conduct thorough morning and afternoon vehicle checks, ensuring safes, bags, and panic buttons are secure.
• Prepare accurate bag pre‑lists for the vault room and notify the vault room controller of changes.
• Adhere to all operational directives for client services and maintain liaison with other branches.
• Consult with the Manager on accidents, delays, or incidents to adjust schedules.
• File and store all documentation in an organized, traceable manner.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by management.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• Clear criminal record.
• Valid driver’s licence and PDP.
• PSIRA accreditation with a minimum Grade C qualification is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of CIT experience.
• Computer literacy (mandatory).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Clear disciplinary record.
• Experience communicating with armored vehicle crews.
