Position Overview

We seek a qualified Family Law Assistant to support our Family Advocate offices. This role involves public service, legal administration, and promoting fair resolutions in family law matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and information sessions on parental rights
• Assist public with legal forms and family law queries
• Support court processes and case preparation
• Facilitate mediations in parental responsibility disputes
• Help conduct community outreach programs
• Manage correspondence and customer service

Requirements

• 3-year legal qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
• Knowledge of family law legislation including:
  • Children’s Act
  • Maintenance Act
  • Domestic Violence Act
• Understanding of Family Advocate office operations
