Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus a Diploma in Secretarial Management, Office Management, Office Administration, Business Management, Public Management, or a related qualification at NQF level 6.
  • At least 3 years in a secretarial environment, with experience in work outputs expected for this role. Advanced communication skills in writing and speaking, including reporting, are needed.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and internet.

Primary Function

  • Coordinate activities and requirements for the Group Head’s office by applying administrative and secretarial procedures. Handle communication, planning, prioritization, and organization of confidential appointments, events, and meetings.

Key Performance Areas

  • Manage administrative needs for the Section or Department by following procedures to coordinate the Group Head’s diary and events.
  • Provide administration and secretarial support through specific tasks.
  • Maintain records of correspondence, information, discussions, instructions, and keep access to them.
  • Liaise and support the Group Head to ensure good communication, service delivery, and achievement of audit and risk management goals.
