Required Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (Accounting major)
Experience: 7+ years senior management experience
Preferred: Postgraduate qualification, Public Sector experience, Professional registration (CIMA/SAIPA/IIA/CA(SA))
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Ensure compliance with PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and other legislative frameworks
- Oversee budget development and financial reporting processes
Operational Management
- Lead financial planning, accounting, and revenue management systems
- Manage annual financial statements and statutory reporting
- Direct supply chain management including procurement and asset control
Risk & Governance
- Implement enterprise risk management framework
- Oversee internal controls and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
Team Leadership
- Manage HR functions including talent development and performance management
- Oversee ICT strategy and governance
- Promote organizational values and professional conduct
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (NQF 7)
- Proven experience in public sector financial management
- Strong understanding of budget planning and MTEF processes
- Experience in project management and governance reporting
