Ethics Officer

Requirements

  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in either Ethics, Audit, or Legal fields
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant ethics experience
  • Membership of Ethics Institute of South Africa, ICFP and/or ACFE recommended
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license is recommended
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Suite

Key Performance Areas

  • Form part of an ethics team in the conducting of multi-disciplinary ethics investigations and proactive initiatives
  • Drafting and compiling ethics investigation reports
  • Perform proactive ethics awareness initiatives and training sessions
  • Implementation and reporting on processes and databases related to, for example, declarations of interest, private work, code of conduct
  • Assisting with implementing a City-wide ethics program and conducting internal assessments of the City’s ethics performance
