Position Summary

We are seeking a Utilityman Site (Earthworks) to join our Construction Services team at the Matla Site. The role involves manual, unskilled work with heavy equipment, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or civil engineering and be able to work overtime when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erect and dismantle shuttering and support work.
  • Place, compact, finish, and repair concrete.
  • Position, cut, bend, and bind reinforcement.
  • Participate in workshop toolbox talks.
  • Adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards.

Required Skills

  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with method statements.

  • Knowledge of OHSA.
  • Understanding of BCCEI Main Agreement.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: Grade 12 or N3 Academic/National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 4.

Experience: 1–2 years in construction or civil engineering field.
