Epic Data Analyst (Professional Officer)

The City of Cape Town, Africa’s third-largest economic hub and legislative capital of South Africa, seeks a qualified professional to join our team.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or related field
Experience Level:
2-5 years in data analysis
Location:
Cape Town, Western Cape

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid Code B/EB Driver’s License
  • Advanced computer skills including SQL, Oracle, and Python
  • Proficiency in two official Western Cape languages (English required)
  • Experience with data modeling and large dataset analysis
  • Clean criminal record

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and secure spatial/non-spatial databases
  • Develop data-driven insights for decision-making processes
  • Create clear visual presentations of data trends and patterns
  • Manage information systems and ensure data accessibility
  • Oversee training and knowledge transfer initiatives
