Position Requirements:
- SAQA-recognized Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences or related discipline
- Minimum 1 year professional experience in environmental management
- Proven ability to analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and evaluate Environmental Impact Assessment applications
- Provide expert guidance on EIA regulations to developers and stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections and environmental compliance checks
- Prepare technical reports and authorization recommendations
- Participate in Environmental Management Committee meetings
- Develop environmental advisory notices and compliance documentation
- Maintain updated records for environmental management processes
