Position Overview
Our Department of Infrastructure seeks an Electrical Engineering Technologist to provide technical advisory services and solve engineering challenges through applied research.
Requirements
- B Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 3+ years post-qualification electrical engineering experience
- ECSA registration as Engineering Technologist (Mandatory)
- Valid Code B driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory:
- Support engineering teams in field and office operations
- Implement safety standards complying with regulations
- Update technical manuals with new technologies
- Develop solutions using engineering principles
Administration:
- Prepare operational reports and planning inputs
- Maintain technical databases
Innovation:
- Research emerging technologies
- Collaborate with engineering boards

Remuneration Package
OSD Scale:
Grade A: R453,576 – R487,500 p/a
Grade B: R513,303 – R551,493 p/a
Grade C: R586,665 – R690,237 p/a
