Position Overview

Our Department of Infrastructure seeks an Electrical Engineering Technologist to provide technical advisory services and solve engineering challenges through applied research.

Requirements

  • B Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years post-qualification electrical engineering experience
  • ECSA registration as Engineering Technologist (Mandatory)
  • Valid Code B driver’s license

Key Responsibilities

Technical Advisory:

  • Support engineering teams in field and office operations
  • Implement safety standards complying with regulations
  • Update technical manuals with new technologies
  • Develop solutions using engineering principles

Administration:

  • Prepare operational reports and planning inputs
  • Maintain technical databases

Innovation:

  • Research emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with engineering boards

Essential Competencies

Remuneration Package

OSD Scale:
Grade A: R453,576 – R487,500 p/a
Grade B: R513,303 – R551,493 p/a
Grade C: R586,665 – R690,237 p/a
