Company Overview:
Drakenstein Local Municipality (Cape Winelands District, Western Cape) seeks qualified candidates for an engineering technical role. Our jurisdiction spans from Simondium in the south to areas north of the N1 freeway.
Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Western Cape
Experience: 4 years minimum
Field: Engineering/Technical
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical specifications for civil infrastructure projects (roads, water systems)
- Evaluate construction plans and land development proposals
- Supervise technical staff and ensure regulatory compliance
- Review applications for building permits and infrastructure clearances
Essential Requirements:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Proficiency in two Western Cape official languages
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)

- Strong technical design capabilities
- Effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented project management
- Conflict resolution abilities
