About the Role
Join the Western Cape Government’s Department of Agriculture to provide technical support in engineering research, design, operations, and maintenance for landcare initiatives.
Requirements
- 3-year National Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- ECSA registration as Engineering Technician (compulsory)
- 3+ years post-qualification engineering experience
- Valid Code B driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with technical operations in field and office environments
- Develop technical designs and safety-compliant solutions
- Prepare reports and contribute to budget planning
- Supervise technical staff and manage assets
- Stay updated with latest engineering technologies
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in project management and technical design
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Experience with computer-aided engineering tools
- Team leadership and organizational skills
Salary Information
R391,671 – R586,665 per annum (OSD scale based on experience)
