Engineering Artisan – Millwright (Shift)

Full Time | Matric | 2-3 Years Experience | Northern Cape Location | Engineering/Technical Field

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment/machinery
  • Conduct safety inspections per Mine Health & Safety regulations
  • Design and install operational equipment systems
  • Monitor equipment performance for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with production teams on maintenance planning
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Valid Section 13 Trade Test/Section 26(D) Certification
  • Driver’s License (Code B, EB or C1)
  • Own reliable transportation for emergency callouts

Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience as qualified Millwright
  • Proficiency in instrumentation equipment and VSD systems
  • Expertise in pump maintenance and shaft alignment
  • Experience with bearing replacement and Huckbolting machinery
  • Knowledge of MV motor maintenance (advantageous)
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong time management and risk assessment skills

Work Conditions

  • Shift work requirement
  • Must pass color vision assessment
