Job Description

What you will do:

  • Design civil engineering infrastructure, such as earthworks, grading, roads, stormwater, sewer, and water systems, across various sectors.
  • Prepare or manage deliverables like 3D design models, drawings, reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Use software packages like Microstation or 12d Model with proficiency.
  • Apply AECOM’s Quality Management System in all work.
  • Know local standards and design codes.
  • Support international projects and work across different time zones (experience in ANZ is a plus).
  • Coordinate with authorities for technical approvals.
  • Solve problems using knowledge, innovation, and standard procedures.
  • Improve existing processes and provide solutions where no precedent exists.
  • Review design calculations, BIM models, and drawings for quality, following health, safety, and corporate standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong skills in designing and modeling civil infrastructure (earthworks, grading, roads, stormwater, and utilities) for ANZ or UK and Ireland regions.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • Good knowledge of ProjectWise and BIM360.
  • Preferred proficiency in software like Microstation or 12d Model.
  • Experience with international standards and design guidelines is a plus.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary projects using BIM.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Reliable personal transport.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 4 years of relevant experience after qualification.
