Position Overview

Report to the Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment while ensuring safety compliance.

Key Requirements

  • ✅ Grade 12/N3/NQF4 Certificate
  • ✅ Certified Electrician Trade Test
  • ✅ Valid Driver’s License (must pass Randwater K53 test)
  • ✅ 2+ years post-apprenticeship experience
  • ✅ Wireman’s license (advantageous)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance schedules and breakdown repairs
  • Train apprentices and manage contractors
  • Monitor equipment performance and update electrical diagrams
  • Assist in shutdown planning and project coordination

Technical Knowledge

  • HT/LT & HV/LV systems
  • AC/DC drives and motor operations
  • Schematic drawings interpretation

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Safety-oriented team player
  • Self-driven with initiative
