Position Details

• Position: Electrical Technician
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Required Qualification: Matric with Trade Test Certification
• Experience Required: 5 years in electrical maintenance
• Location: Northern Cape
• Department: Engineering/Technical

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of LV/MV electrical systems
• Perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance
• Install/upgrade electrical systems to specifications
• Operate 22kV/33kV switchgear systems
• Maintain detailed service records and equipment logs

Essential Requirements

Certifications:

• Red Seal Electrical Trade Test
• MV Authorization (up to 33kV)
• Valid code C driver’s license

Technical Expertise:

• 5+ years hands-on experience with:
  • MV power distribution systems
  • Transformer maintenance
  • Generator/motor control systems

Preferred Skills:

• Wireman’s License (advantageous)
• Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
• Electrical blueprint interpretation
