Position Overview

We seek a qualified Electrical Artisan to join our team in Randburg. This role focuses on maintaining electrical systems and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Systems Maintenance

• Install and maintain electrical equipment using circuit diagrams
• Troubleshoot system failures and implement repairs
• Operate 11kV switchgear in substations
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and supervise subcontractors

Safety Compliance

• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA)
• Enforce safety protocols per SANS 10142 standards
• Recommend safety procedure improvements

Operational Duties

• Install wiring, motors, and control systems
• Test circuits using diagnostic tools (multimeters, meggers)
• Implement lockout/tagout procedures
• Complete maintenance schedules and job cards

Requirements

• Matric/N3 with Electrical Trade Certificate (N4 preferred)
• 5+ years plant electrical experience
• Completed apprenticeship and trade test certification
• Proficiency in electrical regulations and network systems
