Job Description:

The City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality invites applications for the position of Driver Operator within the Turf Grass, Stadia & Hard Courts unit. This role requires a dedicated individual to contribute to the effective operation and maintenance of the municipality’s fleet and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transporting staff and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Performing routine maintenance and inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate log sheets and records of vehicle usage.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Supervising staff and coordinating tasks effectively.
• Handling minor repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Assisting with basic administrative duties.
• Providing excellent customer service and people management skills.

Requirements:

• Grade 10 Certificate.
• Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Basic computer literacy.
