Job Description

Midas is seeking a reliable Motorbike Driver to join their team in Potchefstroom. The role entails delivering goods safely and ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct pre-departure and post-return inspections of the motorbike.
• Submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval.
• Report any motorbike issues immediately and ensure they are resolved before departure.
• Verify parcels with the supervisor before loading, following the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
• Deliver parcels to customers along your assigned route as per the schedule.
• Ensure customer compliance with the Proof of Delivery (POD) procedure and follow the Return from Collection (RFC) process.
• Deliver all documents and collection slips assigned to your trip sheet and obtain PODs.
• Sign trip sheets with the POD clerk and ensure all documents are complete and returned the next day.
• Manage outstanding trip sheets and address any claims related to missing PODs.
• Avoid stock transfers between customer locations.
• Maintain and clean the motorbike, reporting any issues promptly to the Dispatch Supervisor.
• alert the Dispatch Supervisor to any delivery or POD issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of delivery experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential.
• Strong time management skills required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Honesty and integrity are essential.
• Must have sober habits.
