Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport freight between hubs and distribution points.
  • Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while following road laws and company protocols.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
  • Secure cargo to prevent shifting, loss, or damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage and hours.
  • Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and route schedules.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and report delays or issues promptly.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting where necessary.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by following freight handling procedures.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Truck Tractor Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years driving 6×4 Truck Tractors (e.g., Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, or MAN).

Trailer Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years with either 3-axle, 14.5m dry or refrigerated trailers, or 6m x 12m tautliner trailers.

Licensing & Compliance:

  • Valid Code 14 Driver’s License
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
  • Clear criminal and driving record
