Job Description:

Alert Engine Parts, part of Motus Aftermarket Parts, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Driver to join our team in Rustenburg. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to all company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections before departure and upon return.
  • Submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval.
  • Report any vehicle issues immediately before departure.
  • Verify parcels with your supervisor before loading, following the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
  • Deliver parcels to customers along your assigned route as per the schedule and trip sheet.
  • Ensure customers follow the POD (Proof of Delivery) procedure.
  • Adhere to the RFC (Return from Collection) procedure.
  • Deliver all documents and collection slips assigned to your trip sheet and obtain PODs.
  • Submit trip sheets to the POD clerk and ensure all assigned documents are complete and returned the next day.
  • Take responsibility for any outstanding trip sheets and address any “No POD” queries.
  • Avoid stock transfers between customer shops.
  • Maintain and clean the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to the dispatch supervisor.
  • Notify the dispatch supervisor of any delivery-related or POD issues encountered.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of delivery experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential.
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Good time management skills (Essential).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Honesty and integrity.
  • Good habits and a clear criminal record.
