Purpose of the Position

The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting the outreach team, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and operated efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 certification
• At least 1 year of experience in Key Populations programmes
• 2 years of driving experience
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license and PDP
• Ability to communicate in English and another South African language
• Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport the outreach team daily for fieldwork
• Ensure the safety of the team during site visits
• Maintain the vehicle in good condition and report any issues promptly
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects
• Keep accurate log sheets and submit trip reports
• Monitor and reconcile fuel usage
• Follow organisational driving policies and traffic laws

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to read and understand safety rules and manuals
• Basic writing skills for reports and correspondence
• Effective communication skills
