Job Title: Driver – JHB

• Job Type: Full Time
• Qualification: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg
• Job Field: Driving, Logistics

Education and Experience Required:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience as a Driver in a similar environment is preferred
• Excellent time management and ability to manage delivery schedules efficiently
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• High level of professionalism and reliability
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., oil level, tire pressure, fluid levels)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit to assist with equipment movement and other physical tasks when required

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Plan and carry out cost-effective, timely deliveries
• Complete log sheets, read delivery documents and maps, and communicate effectively with internal staff and customers
• Maintain good housekeeping practices for vehicles
• Pack and unpack items to be stored in the storeroom
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner
• Examine stock for damage or defects and report issues to the supervisor
• Receive and count stock, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor
• Mark stock items as needed
• Ensure correct documentation is available for receiving or dispatching stock and report any disparities to the supervisor
