Job Description
Midas is seeking a Driver/General Worker to join their team in Witbank. The role ensures safe delivery of goods, adheres to company procedures, and supports warehouse operations.
Position Overview
– Ensure safe delivery of goods.
– Follow company procedures and standards.
– Assist with warehouse tasks such as binning, picking, and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Binning
– Allocate and update bin locations for new products.
– Ensure inventory is replenished and updated.
– Perform stock checks and report discrepancies.
Picking
– Pick customer and branch orders promptly.
– Follow picking procedures to meet deadlines.
– Assist in stock take and daily housekeeping.
– Double-check orders for accuracy.
Scanner Control
– Issue and manage scanners for operators.
– Track scanner usage and report damages.
– Maintain scanner records daily.
Specific Role Responsibilities
– Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
– Ensure parcels are loaded and delivered as per route schedules.
– Follow POD and RFC procedures.
– Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues.
– Complete all documentation accurately.
Qualifications
– Grade 12.
– Valid Driver’s License.
– At least 3 years of delivery experience.
Skills and Attributes
– Good time management.
– Strong communication skills.
– Ability to work under pressure.
– Honest and reliable.
– Clean criminal record.
