Job Description

Parts Incorporated Africa is seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver to join our team in Riverhorse, Durban. The successful candidate will operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse or industrial setting. Additionally, the ideal candidate will ensure company procedures for receiving, routing, splitting, and outbounding are followed, utilizing all available resources effectively.

Your Responsibilities

• Devanning slip sheet containers from MTS using specialized slip sheet equipment attached to the forklift.
• Devanning palletized containers from ROW using standard forklifts.
• Ensure Delivery Note documentation is accurate, including correct container details.
• Complete a Container Check List to record visible damages for liability protection.
• Endorse Delivery Note if serious visible damages are detected.
• Receive stock onto FloNet using the pallet number as the source and the new shipment pallet label from the Destuffer.
• Check that the final destination delivery aligns with color-coded stickers.
• Route pallets by drop-off point to their respective staging locations.
• Split pallets by drop-off point and ensure boxes are packed correctly.
• Load outbound pallets onto linehaul vehicles, ensuring maximum capacity (32 Tons / 32 footprints).
• Verify load accuracy against the Shipment Note with the vehicle driver.
• Assist in off-loading containers with loose boxes to support Branch 44 when necessary.
• Help management troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Follow 5S Standards and Waste Separation guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric certificate required.
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Must be comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and loud environments.
• Good vision and hand-eye coordination.
