Job Description: Driver Assistant at Meridian Wine Distribution
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Driver Assistant to join our liquor distribution team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves assisting with loading, unloading, and ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report on time to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Conduct efficient handover of deliveries from the warehouse to the vehicle.
- Ensure deliveries are accurately packed to prevent damage.
- Carry your tablet and completed paperwork for all deliveries before leaving the warehouse.
- Deliver orders to customers correctly and on time.
- Engage with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Collect and record any returned or defective items as instructed.
- Maintain a clean and pristine condition of the vehicle daily.
- Report any accidents or incidents to your supervisor immediately and follow standard procedures.
- Dress appropriately in your uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Code 10/14 driver’s license (preferred)
