About Us:
The Cape Winelands District Municipality, located in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, oversees one of the country’s most prominent regions including renowned wine routes like Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Our administrative offices are strategically located near Cape Town.
Role Purpose:
Support disaster management operations through:
- Emergency response coordination
- Incident reporting and documentation
- Stakeholder engagement facilitation
- Risk reduction program implementation
- Training/awareness initiative support
- General administrative duties
Requirements:
- National Diploma/Degree in Disaster Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Certified academic transcripts required
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Proficiency in MS Office & GIS applications
- Bilingual (2 official Western Cape languages)
- Physical fitness for fieldwork
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
