Core Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Budget Management

  • Monitor implementation of fiscal policies across government tiers
  • Lead sectoral expenditure reviews and budget documentation processes
  • Modernize budget planning frameworks and intergovernmental systems

Fiscal Analysis & Planning

  • Develop strategic financing models for public sectors
  • Coordinate Medium-Term Expenditure Framework analyses
  • Enhance integration of strategic planning and budgeting

Financial Governance

  • Oversee public financial management compliance
  • Implement Treasury Regulations and PFMA guidelines
  • Develop monitoring systems for service delivery metrics

Policy Development

  • Analyze socio-economic policies for fiscal implications
  • Advise on poverty reduction and inequality strategies
  • Coordinate cross-sectoral policy implementation
