Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or NQF Level 7 qualification recognized by SAQA, or an equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior management role.
  • An SMS Pre-entry (Nyukela) certificate from the National School of Government (submit before appointment).
  • A valid driver’s license.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Solid knowledge of financial management, relevant laws, and policies.
  • Skills in program management and an integrated approach to service delivery.
  • Understanding of traditional institutions and the financial rules that guide traditional councils.
  • Familiarity with public sector guidelines.
  • Abilities in planning, team development, decision-making, presentations, leadership, community development, networking, organizing, controlling, and research.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills when working with department staff, other government bodies, municipalities, traditional institutions, NGOs, and the private sector.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office.
  • A valid Code B driver’s license.
