Key Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Building Sciences, Architecture, Town Planning, Development Studies or equivalent
  • Professional Planner registration (SACPLAN) preferred
  • Municipal Finance Management Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 18 months)
  • 5+ years municipal management experience
  • Valid Code B driver’s license

  • Lead economic development strategies and spatial planning initiatives
  • Oversee municipal IDP development and implementation
  • Manage town planning, land use, and housing functions
  • Drive tourism development and SMME support programs
  • Coordinate infrastructure development projects
  • Supervise departmental budgeting and reporting
