Required Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certificate
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Administration/Public Policy/Governance Studies or related field
- 5+ years managerial experience in municipal administration or policy research
- SMS Pre-entry Certification from National School of Governance (mandatory before appointment)
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Research Leadership:
- Develop and execute municipal policy strategies
- Manage research initiatives on local governance matters
- Review legislation and governance frameworks
Municipal Governance Management:
- Oversee election-related administrative processes
- Support municipal compliance with governance standards
- Coordinate provincial interventions in local government
Operational Oversight:
- Manage directorate budget and skills development
- Address audit findings and performance management
- Implement anti-corruption strategies across municipalities
