Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7)
Relevant Fields: Finance/Accounting/Auditing/Cost Management
Experience Needed: 5+ Years at Middle/Senior Management Level
Location: Gauteng Province
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing or related field
- Proven leadership experience in financial governance
- Expertise in municipal accounting standards (GRAP)
- Strong understanding of audit committee oversight
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic direction for financial reporting standards implementation
- Oversee municipal accounting services and annual statement quality
- Manage internal audit monitoring and capacity building programs
- Drive intergovernmental collaboration on financial matters
- Provide executive leadership to accounting directorate
