Position: Director Infrastructure Planning (Roads)

Basic Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • NQF Level 7 Qualification (3-year Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field)
  • 5+ years experience in roads maintenance with 5 years at middle/senior management level
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Completion of Nyukela Public Service SMS Leadership Programme (online)
Preferred Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of Public Service Act and PFMA regulations
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Advanced communication and reporting skills
  • Proven leadership in team development
  • Technical proficiency in road infrastructure systems
  • Financial management and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop provincial road infrastructure strategies
  • Coordinate maintenance planning and budgeting
  • Manage road reserve protection programs
  • Oversee intergovernmental planning coordination
  • Implement performance monitoring systems
  • Ensure compliance with national road standards
