Position Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Statistics
  • 5+ years managerial experience in research/policy environment
  • Proven expertise in economic analysis and policy development

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fiscal policy research and develop institutional frameworks
  • Produce budget strategy documents and fiscal risk statements
  • Oversight of budget decision-making committees
  • Conduct long-term fiscal sustainability analysis
  • Advise stakeholders on fiscal policy and maintain international relations
