Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years senior management experience in finance
- Valid driver’s license
- Pre-Entry SMS Certification (Public Service)
Core Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Develop and monitor financial policies/systems
- Oversee financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Manage payroll approvals and payment processes
- Coordinate budget analysis and expenditure tracking
Team Management
- Lead 20+ staff with coaching/mentoring programs
- Conduct performance reviews and skills development
- Optimize workforce planning and resource allocation
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure PFMA and Treasury Regulation compliance
- Implement risk mitigation strategies
- Manage audit processes and responses
Strategic Operations
- Align department goals with provincial objectives
- Develop annual work plans and performance reports
- Coordinate cross-departmental collaborations
