Requirements
- An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at NQF Level 7, recognized by SAQA.
- A Postgraduate Degree in Economics is an advantage.
- At least five (5) years of middle or senior management experience in economic analysis, economic modeling, economic research, and statistical analysis.
- Completion of the Nyukela Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS) upon appointment.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Performance Areas
- Oversee economic analysis for the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
- Develop standards for economic analysis and coordinate the use of relevant tools to analyze economic trends.
- Provide regular reports on the province’s economic trends.
- Lead the development and implementation of the five-year and annual strategy for the economic analysis unit, including Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS), District Development Model (DDM), GEYODI, risk management, knowledge management, and human resources performance management.
