Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Management Sciences, Law, or equivalent
  • 5+ years middle management experience in public administration
  • MFMA compliance knowledge
  • Meeting minimum competency levels per Government Notice R493 (2007)
  • Professional registration with relevant body
  • Non-compliant candidates must achieve standards within 18 months of appointment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction for Corporate Services Department
  • Manage HR, ICT, Facilities, Registry, and Administrative Services
  • Oversee municipal financial systems and controls
  • Develop operational policies and ensure legal compliance
  • Implement risk management and performance systems
  • Coordinate organizational development programs
  • Manage departmental budgets and SDBIP implementation
