Position: Deputy Director – Occupational Health & Safety / Employee Health & Wellness

Department Mission:

To deliver a safe, integrated, and accessible road transportation system through strategic infrastructure development and maintenance.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 6/7) in Safety Management, Social Work, or Psychology
  • Valid registration with relevant professional body
  • 3+ years managerial experience in OHS & wellness programs
  • Valid Code B driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead employee wellness initiatives and OHS program implementation
  • Oversee safety compliance through SHERQ management systems
  • Manage departmental HIV/AIDS and TB prevention programs
  • Develop health & safety policies and operational procedures
  • Supervise sub-directorate resources and personnel
