About Us

The COGTA Ministry oversees cooperative governance systems and traditional affairs, working in alignment with Constitutional mandates for provincial governance, local municipalities, and traditional leadership structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain security protocols (MISS/PISP framework) across departmental operations
  • Oversee physical security systems and information protection measures
  • Manage access control protocols and security screening processes
  • Coordinate security for official ministerial engagements and visits
  • Develop and execute comprehensive security audit programs
  • Supervise contract security personnel and service providers

Requirements

  • Matric certificate plus National Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6) in Security Management, Policing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in security operations
  • Valid driver’s license (accommodations available for PWD applicants)
