Organizational Context

The Western Cape Government delivers essential public services and promotes safety initiatives across the province. We seek two security specialists to strengthen departmental resilience through proactive risk management.

Core Objectives

• Implement ISO-aligned safety protocols across departments
• Develop organizational security culture
• Ensure compliance with occupational health/safety regulations
• Manage security governance frameworks

Essential Requirements

• National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• 3 years’ managerial experience in security/safety
• Valid driver’s license (Code B or higher)
• Non-drivers with reliable transport considered

Technical Competencies

• Expertise in OHS legislation & ISO standards (31000/45001)
• Risk assessment methodologies (SAMTRAC/SHERQ)
• Policy development & strategic implementation
• Security threat analysis & mitigation

Key Skills

• Advanced problem-solving & decision-making
• Effective team leadership & cross-departmental collaboration
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Clear technical & executive communication

Remuneration

R896,436 annual package (Level 11)
