Position: Deputy Director – Recruitment, HR Planning & Employment Equity

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Experience Level: Mid-Senior (5+ years HR experience)

We are a national government department responsible for shaping South Africa’s communications, telecommunications, and broadcasting landscape. Our team supports digital transformation under the leadership of Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 6 certification in:
    • Human Resource Management
    • Organizational Development
    • Industrial Psychology or related field
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience
  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience at Assistant Director level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies for recruitment and workplace equity
  • Oversee workforce planning aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes from job posting to onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with employment equity regulations
  • Analyze HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions
  • Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Manage departmental HR budgets and reporting
