Position Details

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Education Requirements:
  National Diploma (NQF 6+) / Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7+) in Economics, Accounting or Public Finance
• Experience: 4+ years (including 2 years at Assistant Director level)
• Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Essential Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate
• Expertise in public sector budgeting/expenditure frameworks
• Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations
• Experience with MTEF processes and financial systems

Core Responsibilities

Budget Management & Financial Strategy

• Guide departments in budget preparation and documentation
• Analyze MTEF submissions and propose corrective actions
• Evaluate funding requests and budget structures

Performance Monitoring

• Track expenditure trends and service delivery outcomes
• Verify program alignment with strategic objectives
• Address audit findings from oversight bodies

Policy Implementation

• Analyze financial policies for regulatory compliance
• Develop solutions for policy improvements

Strategic Development

• Conduct benchmarking with government counterparts
• Research international financial management practices
