Deputy Director: Monitoring and Evaluation

Position Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate essential
  • National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 6/7) in Public/Business Administration
  • Post-graduate qualification preferred
  • Proven experience in strategic monitoring & planning
  • Knowledge of government policy frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills for policy development

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and maintain performance plan frameworks
  • Analyze strategic alignment of departmental plans
  • Create performance measurement indicators

Performance Monitoring:

  • Implement monitoring systems for departmental operations
  • Evaluate program effectiveness
  • Track progress against strategic objectives

Policy Development:

  • Implement best practice monitoring systems
  • Develop quality assurance frameworks
  • Coordinate impact assessments

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal/external partners
  • Coordinate implementation processes
  • Advise on performance guidelines
