Deputy Director General: Traditional Affairs

Location: Limpopo Province

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead oversight of Traditional Leadership Institutions and district satellite councils
  • Manage administrative support to Kingship/Queenship structures and Traditional Councils
  • Direct strategic operations for the Traditional Affairs Branch
  • Supervise financial management of Traditional Councils
  • Monitor compliance with regulations at initiation/circumcision schools
  • Coordinate activities of Executive Committees and Provincial Houses
  • Organize recognition ceremonies for traditional leaders

Essential Requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Law, Public Administration, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) preferred
  • 8+ years senior management experience in relevant sector
  • Valid driver’s license (excluding applicants with disabilities)

Special Note: Successful candidate must obtain SMS Pre-entry Certification (Nyukela Program) within specified timeframe post-appointment.
