Key Requirements:

  • NQF Level 8 qualification in Built Environment or related field
  • 8+ years senior management experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Registration with relevant professional council
  • Pre-Entry SMS Certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead infrastructure planning and maintenance for health facilities
  • Oversee technical standards and life cycle maintenance programs
  • Manage R5.5 billion infrastructure budget and procurement processes
  • Develop provincial infrastructure strategies and implementation plans
  • Coordinate intergovernmental stakeholder engagements
  • Supervise engineering teams and maintenance operations
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and PFMA
  • Manage human resources and staff development

Required Competencies:

  • Strategic leadership in public infrastructure development
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Financial planning and budget management expertise
  • Stakeholder negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Technical knowledge of built environment standards
