Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Civil Engineering, Transport Economics, Transport Management, or Urban Planning
- Valid driver’s license
- Nyukela Pre-Entry SMS Certificate
- Proven experience in transport management systems and infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate provincial transport planning and infrastructure development
- Implement Gauteng Freight Strategy and integrate rail networks
- Oversee public transport operations and regulatory compliance
- Manage vehicle registration systems and operating license processes
- Lead policy development and intergovernmental relations
- Optimize traffic fee collection systems (eNatis/Road Traffic Act)
- Conduct transport system investigations and recommend improvements
- Manage resources, risk mitigation, and audit compliance
