Position Details
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Education Requirements:
• Matric/NQF Level 4
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (NQF Level 7)
• National Treasury MFMA Certificate - Experience Needed: 7-9 years in financial management (including 3-4 years at middle management level)
- Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee legislative compliance and financial reporting standards
- Monitor citywide budget implementation aligned with development plans
- Analyze revenue/expenditure patterns and organizational performance
- Lead transition to mSCOA-compliant financial systems
- Manage budget reporting to National Treasury and municipal committees
- Prepare annual financial performance analyses and trend reports

- Proven track record in municipal financial management
- Advanced skills in budget monitoring and risk identification
- Strong competency in financial data analysis and trend tracking
- Leadership experience in team management and development
