About the Role

The Western Cape Government seeks a proactive professional to manage conflict resolution and implement strategies in the public transport sector. This role involves identifying early signs of disputes, developing intervention measures, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Assessment Unit and monitor conflict areas in public transport.
  • Develop early warning systems and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Coordinate with government committees to address industry disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Western Cape Road Transportation Act and related regulations.
  • Prepare legal documents, reports, and conduct hearings.
  • Manage staff and oversee operational processes.

Requirements

  • 3-year National Diploma/Degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of middle management experience.
  • Valid Code B driver’s license (or ability to arrange transport if applicable).
