To manage the information life cycle effectively. This includes identifying, analyzing, and developing information assets, and assessing business information needs.
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, plus 5-7 years’ experience in Data Analytics or a similar environment. This includes 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
Alternative
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) plus 10 years’ related experience in a data science environment, including 2-3 years at a technically skilled level.
Minimum Functional Requirements
- Experience in Data Engineering, Business Data Intelligence, or Data Science.
- Intermediate technical skills in data processes, cleaning, analysis, reporting, data models, database design, and testing.
- Knowledge and experience with reporting packages (such as SQL), databases (such as SQL), and programming (such as SQL, R, Python).
- Intermediate knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, R).
- Intermediate knowledge of data warehouses.

- Share analysis results and findings using data visualization techniques with internal and external customers.
- Provide specialist input by investigating opportunities and risks in product processes.
- Design, develop, and test data analytics solutions such as reports, dashboards, analyses, extracts, and models.
- Maintain and improve existing data analytics solutions to ensure availability.
- Gather data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases, using skills in data extraction, transformation, and business modeling.
