PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB•Selecting, cataloguing and classifying library resources.
•To facilitating and support learning by teaching information literacy skills to students and staff within classrooms or virtual learning environments.
•To encourage a reading culture (Friendly atmosphere, friendly and inviting learning environment, assist with queries, displays, additional services; Public Pc’s Internet access, printing, copying)
•Provide media and support services.
•To enforce library rules, policies and procedures and take appropriate action if need be.
•To ensure a well-stocked and resourceful library.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

•Booklist and Book maintenance
•Book Purchases
•Management of Branch Libraries
•Support Services

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB1.Diploma / Degree in Library Science.
2.+2 years’ library experience is required.
3.Computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
